YiJoon Park is a South Korean cellist currently pursuing his studies at the Korea National University of Arts (K-ARTS).
A versatile performer, Park has earned distinction in numerous prestigious competitions, including second prize at the Osaka International Music Competition (Cello), second prize at the KBS-Hanjeon Music Competition (Strings), and first prize at the Ewha-Kyunghyang Competition (Cello).
Throughout his formative years, Park has refined his artistry through masterclasses with renowned pedagogues such as Jens Peter Maintz and Troels Svane. His stage presence has been highlighted in various performances, including the Kumho Young Artist Concert, the Yewon School Regular Concert, and collaborations with the Leeum Orchestra.
Park’s musical identity is defined by his quest for deep sonorities, expansive musical lines, and a compelling sense of narrative. He remains dedicated to broadening his expressive range and deepening his interpretive insight through a rigorous schedule of performances and international competitions.
