Armenian cellist Artyom Ioanisyan (b. August 1, 2003) has garnered international recognition through his compelling performances. He has appeared at prestigious festivals and competitions worldwide, giving recitals and performing as soloist with orchestras including the Graz Philharmonic Orchestra, the Czech Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, the Armenian National Symphonic Orchestra, the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra. His discography includes recordings with the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia, featuring works by Mendelssohn. 

Artyom has worked closely with distinguished cellists including Thomas Demenga, Steven Isserlis, Alban Gerhardt, Thomas Grossenbacher, and Anne Gastinel, participating in masterclasses and festivals such as the Schaffhauser Meisterkurse (Switzerland), the Cello Akademie Rutesheim (Germany), the 72nd Ljubljana Festival (Slovenia), and the Esperia Festival (France). 

From 2020 to 2022, he was a member of the Khachaturian Trio, performing an extensive chamber music repertoire throughout Armenia and internationally.

Artyom holds a Bachelor's degree from the Bern University of the Arts, where he studied under Prof. Denis Severin. Since 2025, he has been continuing his studies at the Berlin University of the Arts with Prof. Jens Peter Maintz.

He performs on a 19th-century cello modeled after a Tecchler instrument, crafted by an unknown luthier and generously entrusted to him by Manuel Derron.
